Test Kits With Description

pH of water indicates the intensity of acidic / basic nature. Low pH is corrosive to system where as high pH causes scaling.

Calcium & Magnesium can precipitate to form scaling in boilers, cooling towers & heat exchangers.

For proper pH Control, to prevent scaling & corrosion in boilers, cooling towers & heat exchangers. It is primarily a function of carbonates, bicarbonates & hydroxides.

Excess level of chlorides in water may lead to corrosion in boilers, cooling towers & heat exchangers and also salty in taste of potable water. It also indicates the cycle of concentration in boilers.

For effective disinfection, a residual level of chlorine is required.

Nitrite is used in closed cooling systems for corrosion protection.

Phosphates are used to control corrosion and scaling in boilers. Orthophosphate residual is to be maintained in water.

Sulphite may occur in boiler feed water treated with sulphite to control dissolved oxygen. Excess sulphite may lead to corrosion.

Silica in water is undesirable for various industrial uses as it forms silicate scales, which are difficult to remove.

Iron present in source water or from corrosion of steel can oxidize to form rust deposits with in boilers, cooling towers and heat exchanger.

Different chemicals are used to holdup metal ions and prevent scaling in boilers & cooling towers.
