ETP :
Effluent is a liquid waste (wastewater) generated by factories, hotels, vehicle service centers and other commercial business units. As it contains high level of BOD, COD, TSS and TDS, it puts negative effect on the water and soil. The high level of BOD significantly decreases dissolved oxygen (DO) level; hence, it puts fresh water resources in danger. In today’s scenario it is imperative to treat industrial wastewater to a level where it can be reused safely or drain out without affecting the environment.
STP :
Sewage treatment or domestic wastewater treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater and household sewage, both runoff (effluents) and domestic. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove physical, chemical and biological contaminants. Its objective is, to produce an environmentally-safe fluid waste stream (or treated effluent) and a solid waste (or treated sludge) suitable for disposal or reuse (usually as farm fertilizer).
