The shelf life of ‘H2O Clean Stabilized Cl’ solution is 8 months due to the stabilizing a buffering agent present in it. Because of this, the amount of available chlorine is exactly known unlike bleaching powder which deteriorate day-by-day. Therefore exact dosage to obtain the required residual chlorine in the treated water is easily done with ‘H2O Clean Stabilized Cl’.
The process of preparing slurry and filtering as in bleaching powder does not arise with ‘H2O Clean Stabilized Cl’. Chlorination with chlorine gas from cylinder requires special chlorination unit and skilled operators.
Whereas ‘H2O Clean Stabilized Cl’ can be added by dripping system for continuous flow or by direct addition by transferring the required quantity to tank, sump, well or other containers filled in periodically. ‘H2O Clean Stabilized Cl’ purifies and protects the water from recontamination.
It kills all water borne microbes or germs which cause typhoid, gastroenteritis, dysentery, cholera, jaundice etc. It completely arrests the growth of algae in tanks, sumps, wells, pipelines etc.
It removes temporary hardness and adds taste to water. 0.2 – 0.3 % solution is used for cleaning milk utensils, wash basins, toilets, feeding bottle nipple etc.
Over dosage will not do any harm. But the chlorine smell may persist predominantly. This will give an indication to reduce the dosage.
Therefore Purification and Protection of Water is a must to make the water safe for drinking. Among various methods of purifying and protecting water, CHLORINATION has been found to be most effective and practical.
